Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The following are some frequently asked questions about our company, our policies, and other issues of possible concern. If you have a question to which you cannot find an answer here, please feel free to contact us at Info@HomeFromSlovenia.com or at 203-775-0853. We will be happy to provide a prompt response to your question or concern.

Q: When will my order be sent out?
A: We ship out daily via United Parcel Service and United States Postal Service. Many orders ship within 1 to 2 days. Most orders ship within 3 days of receipt of the order.

Q: Will you notify me when my order will be shipped?
A: If you have provided your email address, you will receive an order confirmation via that will provide an estimated shipping date as well. If you order by mail, you may request to be notified by mail of the ship date, and we will be happy to send you a post card with that information.

Q: What if I need my order urgently?
A: When placing your order, we suggest you choose one of the air shipment methods for quickest delivery. If necessary, please call us at 203-775-0853 to ask about placing a Special Order, which would guarantee same day or next day shipment, depending upon the time the Special Order is placed. There is an additional charge of $35 for Special Order service, which is not refundable. You will be told of the date the shipment can be made when you call to discuss the order. Please remember, though we process and ship all orders as quickly as possible, we are not responsible for delivery delays or missed events.

Q: What happens if you are out-of-stock of a particular item?
A: In general, items you see on the website will be available for immediate shipment. We will do our best to fulfill your order. If we are out-of-stock of a particular item, we will contact you with the approximate date we expect to ship your order and will let you choose to cancel the order if you prefer. You may choose to cancel the order at any time before the shipment is made. Your credit card will not be charged until the merchandise can be shipped.

Q: What if the merchandise I receive is damaged or otherwise defective?
A: Please refer to our "Returns and Exchanges" policy.

Q: Is there insurance on the merchandise?
A: All orders are insured by to the carrier to arrive at their intended destination without damage or loss. On occasion, additional insurance may be applied to certain items or orders.

Q: What if I'd like to send an item as a gift? Can you ship directly to another party?
A: Certainly. The website allows for a shipping address different from the billing address. There is also a box to check if you are placing an order for a gift shipment. If you check that box, we will omit cost information from the package. For gift shipments, we may also choose to enter a message to appear on the outer carton - for example 'Happy Holidays from Jane and Family'.

Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Gift certificates are not available at this time, but we hope to offer them in the future. If you are interested in gift certificates, please let us know by making an entry in either the public or private 'Guestbook' on the website.
